Spanish Village Review
Spanish Village has an interesting location. It is really between two popular residential enclaves - Bukit Timah and Holland Road. On the same side side as Spanish Village condo, there are a mixture of mainly luxurious good size condos like Waterfall Gardens and Gallop Villas and as well as good class bungalows. On the other hand, on the opposite side of Spanish Village condo, there is a hdb estate with a wet market and food centre thrown in. That's what's popularly known as the Farrer road or Empress market.
There are 6 main long blocks at the Spanish village forming a circular shape with facilities in the centre. Outwards facing units at the Spanish village fronting FARRER road can mean some noise from the traffic though it offers relatively unblocked views due to the fact that SPANISH village sits on an elevated plot of land.
As Spanish village is a matured estate, and units come with generous balconies, some owners convert their balconies into an extension of their living room, making an already large living room even bigger.
A typical unit for rent by Far East Organization at the Spanish village has a size of 1701 sqft for a 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms layout asking for $4,200. Not a bad deal considering the space, location, amenities and full facilities, as long as you don't mind it's a tad old.
For residents of Spanish Village who don't drive, there are 3 MRT stations within 6-18 minutes walking distance. They are Farrer Road, Holland Village and Tan Kah Kee MRT stations which are on both the Circle and Downtown Line.
