Before Minster Lawrence Wong announced the latest ruling on usage of CPF ordinary account to purchase residential properties, these 3 blocks were the only blocks that one can use all their CPF monies for the purchase. so, remember that if you are buying a flat at clementi West, vista 18 has the youngest flats.

Review 2 - Vista 18 (2020)
It is an Orchard at and all around Vista 18
While it is very common to find trees in Singapore's residential estate(kudos to Nparks), it is not as common to find fruit trees in public housing estates, especially in young estates. Clementi West is a matured estate, but while there are some fruit trees in certain matured HDB estates, I don't notice observing another estate with as many fruit trees as in Clementi West Vista 18. Fruit trees in and around Vista 18 includes coconut, rambutan, chiku and mango trees. These trees are planted along the park connector network, water way and in the shophouse areas near the marketplace.
It is a pity that the Residents Committee(RC) nor Nparks organise any forms of fruits harvesting. While the coconut and chiku trees bear fruits all year round, the mango and rambutan trees just ended their last season. It was a pity to seethe fruits turn ripe, only to be eaten by bats and birds. But then, maybe it is also a good thing, whats nature, goes back to nature.
The mango trees are mainly planted along the PCN, and residents of Vista 18 can during the mango season, see half or almost eaten mangoes lying on the PCN or just below the trees, courtesy of the bats feasting on them.
