The Seawind, located at 72 Lorong M Telok Kurau in Singapore, obtain T.O.P. (Temporary a Occupation Permit) on around April 2014. One can see that since then there have been activities of investors looking for tenant's on Property Guru portal.
Seawind has been one of the favourite property for the east as an investment property for a variety of reasons. One of the reasons is what one can see of the Seawind floorplan. Efficient floorplan layouts allow for more living spaces and outdoor lifestyle with good size balconies.
The Seawind is developed by established developer, Far East Organization, which coincidentally, also developed properties in the east, like The Cape Condo and Euhabitat, or what some would spell as Eu Habitat. The builder of The Seawind is Hexacon Construction. One of the distinctive feature that sets The Seawind apart from condos in the east is that it is Far East Organization's first freehold condo development that has a combination of various residential choices. - SOHO apartment, condominium apartment, townhouses and has a huge variety of leisure, dining and entertainment choices. Foreigners are eligible to buy the townhouses, which is getting more rare these days to find townhouses for sale that are eligible to foreigners.
Layouts of apartment units are divided into name two types: the condominium and the SOHO lifestyle. Seawind SOHO layouts have impressive ceiling heights of 3.35m for the upper floors while ground floor units enjoy a 4.7m ceiling height. Condominium layouts has a lower ceiling height of 2.9m. SOHO units encourage the integration of work and lifestyle, allowing for some units to build a loft to a bed room area, leaving more space for work below.
The Seawind is probably one of the few if not the only condo in the popular Telok Kurau enclave that has full tennis facilities including a tennis court and good size swimming pool. It is probably the biggest condo development there with 222 units. Most condo developments in Telok Kurau are smallish developments with limited facilities.
At this time of writing, besides one townhouse left available for sale by Far East Organization, there are one bed room and two bed room apartments. These two bed room apartments were formerly name two bed room compact but have since been renamed one bed room + study. Personally, I find that it is really a two bed room by Singapore's today's standard of condo size definition. Just because there isn't any wardrobe in the common to me doesn't make it less of a bed room. Just place a wardrobe inside the common bed room and it is good to hold the wardrobe and a single bed with some space easily. The monthly maintenance fee of the one bed room and two bed room units are about $290 before sinking fund.
One of the potential upside of The Seawind is its prolixity to the upcoming Marine Terrace MRT Station, which is part of the Thomson-East Coast MRT Line. The estimated distance from The Seawind to Marine Terrace is about 1km or 14 minutes of walk. The actual MRT Station may actually be closer.

The condominium, SOHO-concept units and townhouses all share the same design concepts although they express different architectural designs. So there is uniformity in design concepts yet different in architectural outlook.

Clear glass facade tend to feel less cosy and warmer for the residents in The Seawind Condominium, given the hot tropical weather in Singapore. Reflective glass can look a little 'unfriendly' for a low rise condo.
As a modern design condo, The Seawind Condo features full height windows at the master and common bed rooms.
Units are reasonably spaced out. As a guide on the distance between two units (front versus front) and (kitchen versus kitchen), they are as follows :

There are no private lifts in The Seawind Condo units, but in the Seawind townhouses, during the early launch period when Far East Organization started marketing Seawind for sale, buyers of the Seawind townhouses are able to opt in to let Far East Organization install private lift in the Seawind townhouse at the buyer's cost. Townhouses, similar to cluster housing, tend to be vertical in architectural designs
The windows are designed to only open partially for the bed rooms, probably as a safety feature in case there are children living at the Seawind. The design is casement window with fixed glass panels above and below.
To maximize ceiling height, Seawind Condo only feature wall mounted Aircon for the living, dining and bed rooms. No ducted Aircon are installed.
Rubbish chutes are located differently in the condo and SOHO concept. The rubbish chute will be located in each individual unit in the condo unit while the chutes will be located at the common corridor areas in the SOHO concept.
Not the most popular choice, but yes, there will be a household shelter or home/bomb shelter in every Seawind unit.
Seawind Condo doesn't feature any planters or bay windows in all its units. This is a plus point as it means spaces are maximized for usage.
Only the townhouses in Seawind feature yard and utility area to wash and dry laundry.
Far East Organization was one of the first developers to feature and start sunken bathtub concept. In The Seawind, it's no exception. But only units at the Condo concept features sunken bathtubs, not in the SOHO and townhouses.
