Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 156-year-old tropical garden located at 1 Cluny Rd, Singapore 259569. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be esteemed as a UNESCO World Heritage Land Site. Botanic Gardens was grooved in 1859; its origins can be delineated to 1822 when Stamford Raffles proposed the allocation of a 19-hectare land for the formation of botanic gardens on Government Hill, where he domiciliated.183-acre botanical gardens with sculptures, a swan lake & significant collection of tropical trees. Gardens have a small tropical rainforest of around six hectares of the land, which is older than the gardens themselves. The Botanic Gardens have about 4.5 million visitors annually. In 1866, 12 ha (30 a) of borderland to the northwest was obtained on, and Garden Road was edited accordingly. The Swan Lake was turned up the same year, and the superintendent’s/director’s bungalow (known today as Burkill Hall) was completed in 1868. To attract more visitors and raise funds, also organized flower shows and agricultural fairs. The Singapore Botanic Gardens today is divided into three main cores: Tanglin, Central and Bukit Timah.The enlargement and building of new developments, however, consume the society’s funds; by 1874, its debt had forced the society to hand over the management of the Gardens to the colonial government.
