The first Nexus International School opened in Putrajaya, Malaysia in 2008. Beginning as a school for Early Years and Primary students (3 to 11 years), Nexus International School Malaysia (NISM) quickly matured into a full Kindergarten (K) to Year 13 (3 to 18 years) school following the addition of its Secondary School in 2009. In September 2011, NISM’s purpose-built campus was enhanced by the completion of its modern world-class boarding facilities.
Nexus International School was first introduced to Singapore through the acquisition of Excelsior International School (EIS) in 2011.
Nexus International School (Singapore) is located near the heart of multi-cultural Singapore, just 2km from Holland Village and resides in a spacious campus that was purpose-built for the Singapore American School and later occupied by the Australian International School. The campus holds all of the facilities required to support a holistic education for not only a large number of students but also a range of ages. Previous schools on the site enrolled well over 1,200 students before they outgrew the campus.
With its exceptional leadership team and highly qualified, expert teachers who are dedicated to the Nexus philosophy, Nexus has grown beyond expectation and is thriving with activity. An extraordinary amount has been achieved in the relatively short space of time that Nexus has been in Sinagpore. The School has upgraded its facilities and IT infrastructure, implemented a 1:1 laptop programme, launched an academic scholarship programme and, in a first amongst international schools in Singapore, its elite swimming programme, which offers scholarships to talented swimmers. Having started with a cohort of 320, Nexus is now home to over 700 learners from close to 50 nationalities.
Nexus International Schools are members of the Taylor’s Education Group (TEG), a highly successful and well recognised private education group in Malaysia with over 20,000 students across its university, college and schools. Taylor’s Schools include some of the largest and most established schools in Malaysia: Garden International School (GIS), Australian International School Malaysia (AISM), Taylor's International School Kuala Lumpur and Taylor's International School in Puchong. The company also owns universities in two countries and the largest A level College in the world. With over 6 decades of experience TEG has an extensive understanding of K to Grey (post graduate) education.
